The main home improvement big-box I go to sells unglazed clay pots, and even has tiny thumb pots off and on. I think it's kind of hit and miss -- I'd definitely advise calling around to garden stores in your area before you worry about paying shipping.

I've only tried 2 big box stores near my house but there are a couple near work I can check out. So far I haven't seen any thumb pots at them.

I found thumb pots at a craft store as I said. They are in the area where they have supplies for decorating doll houses.

I went back to craft store and they only have the ones in the plant section. I did however find small ones that I like. And a lone mini pot at the one nursery I go to. It pays to check again.
