In my conditions it is not so difficult. They grow great in wire baskets & sphagnum moss and prefer very moist media and full shade (with very small amount of filtered light. Here in Florida shade is quite bright, too, but Stanhopea wardii really loves full shade). Since my plant is hanging in the bushes on conservation area, I often forget to fertilize it. This is why I have only one Stanhopea!
There is enough space in bushes for several more but I have to think about our winters. We have a few cool or even cold nights every winter, so I have to move my in-bushes-growing plants to a warmer location. My growing area is too small and has very limited space, so I cannot grow too many large plants.
