Roth' x glauco = Vanguard. I showed this, or another from the same pod, under that name , but added "glaucophyllum var moquettianum - as I understood it to be - and was encouraged to put it up for award ( RHS) andwas told that moq' is now considered to be an independent and different species from glaucophyllum. So I "had to" name it, to get an award... and seeing me a bit non-plussed the Sec' said what about your wife's name ? But I had already named paphs for her and other members of the family, but not my mother. Hence the choice. BTW I didn't get an award - the RHS committee were in a "must be bigger than before to get an award" mood, that day.
