L Anceps 'Ft Caroline' X C Gail Perri var coerulea

This is an update on a plant purchased recently. The tag reads L. Anceps 'Ft Caroline' X C. Gail Perri var coerulea. I believe the first part that reads, L. Anceps, should also say "var Veitchiana" before the clonal name. I looked up both parents, and expected a nice blue flower. However, this is what it looks like so far. I'm wondering if the blue comes in after a day or two? Any guesses?? lol I can't really take credit for the blooms as it was in bud when I bought it. I'm just proud of myself for keeping both buds viable and growing!

First; a picture from the day I bought it. Some p-bulbs have been chewed on by rats, and overall the plant looks just awful. After it's done blooming i'll repot it and give it some tlc for awhile.

Congrats. sometimes it's hard too keep healthy buds when plant is moved from its original location. Then, you do have this credit.

Connie, I am with Rosalia on that! (and I'm the perfect example...) So you do deserve the credit!

Connie it is beautiful ! I have a weak point for blues and coeruleas. I think, in a few days, the flower will open up better and will show a very nice shape and colour. The L anceps is very dominant in the cross.

After a few days, I'm guessing this will be it's permanent color. Strange no blue, but pretty anyways! And no scent...
