Thanks everyone, this is it at it's peak for perennials. There are a mass of yellow sundrops to come in the next few weeks and then it's just whatever annuals I plant to fill in until the echinacia blooms and then asters in the Fall. the curse of the perennial garden I guess, a short time of stunning beauty for the tradeoff of not having to replant annuals every year. The daisy self seed and I got a spectacular display this year!
The geraniums bloom for a long time but only because I obsessively deadhead them. They will also peak in another few weeks and then they will have stray blooms for the summer.
