thanks al. can't take much credit asside from 'not killing it yet' on this one, i got this one recently as a reward for that first one i bought. it now has 2 spikes opening on it and they have come out a nice deep red, since it is winter nights in the 40's i think it has made the flowers a bit smaller, a bit darker, but doing fine. i hope this yellow one does as well outdoors.

i got this on a special where the seller picked the plants, but i was allowed to suggest colors and i asked for yellow and mentioned red. i think i got a great seller's pick!

the peach part is actually on the backside of the lip. the red spots are on the front. this picture was taken as the sun was coming up, shining right through the flowers like this, so it made the lip glow that peachy color and i grabbed the phone to take a pic.

this photo shows flowers from different angles, so you can see how the lighting effects the overall color of the flower.

it adds more contrast, but your's looks beautiful with or without. It is very pretty. The shape reminds me of a Miltoniopsis hybrid and the colours like an Oncidium.
