not sure i posted this in the right thread but i found this little guy in my garden, estimated about three feet long.
i had no idea what species of snake is this and does not seem poisonous. is it?

just found a google hit,,,,, Chrysopelea paradise, paradise tree snake, mildly venomous. gosh....i touched the tail just to have the first feel of touching a wild snake. haha ...
good thing it didn't bite you. Handsome snake! Very nice pictures of him too Ian!!!
Rounded heads: not poisonous and triangular: is poisonous. Just a guide for the next snake encounter. This ones kinda in between maybe thats why its only kinda poisonous

I've heard that saying before only different. Red on black friend of Jack. Red on yellow kill a fellow. It can be useful I suppose if you are willing to get close enough to find out.
that's one of those flying snakes. flying snakes. ugh! pretty thing though.
