The new leaf is so small, it's virtually keiki-sized. I guess the plant is in "minimize" mode, trying to make do with what little it's got. I bought some Kelpmax recently and will try it on the stem to promote root growth.

I've been trying to keep the crown dry but about once a day I fill up the baby food jar with water and soak the bottom of the plant, so the little new root can soak up some water. After that I keep the plant upside down on top of the jar for an hour or so to let any standing water drip off. There is also a fan going at medium speed in that room, so it usually dries off pretty quickly.

I think once I see one or two more root tips I will repot into bark and let the plant acclimate to the new environment.
Sounds like a good plan. And i will say the KelpMax is amazing! I have had incredible root growth on the plants I have used it on. Time to order some more.
