Disease, burn or otherwise?

Um..... so I came down to check on him this morning and the leaf was really yellow and wiggly so I gave it a little tug (to see if it wanted to drop or was just mobile for fun) and POP, it's off. I threw some cinnamon in the little middle socket bit, is there anything else I need to do now? I'm going to assume he can grow from the dent bit, right?

Did you cut into the healthy tissue the first few times you cut the leaf?

dl - Yes of course, I've had to trim phal booboos before, just not rot.

Well, hopefully the plant dropped that leaf and isolated itself from whatever was attacking it in the first place. I'd keep a close watch because it seems that whatever infectious agent was harming your plant extended farther than what you could see, which would explain why the leaf continued to rot even though you cut into healthy tissue.

As for new leaf growth, your plant will have to put out a new leaf from the crown when it decides that it is ready.

Hi AGAIN everyone.... so the next leaf down had begun to yellow after some time... Does anyone know what's going on?
I trimmed the tip of it but it's continuing on... it's only dark on the edge where I cut it but no where else like the first one thankfully so i don't think it's rot again.
It was really hot last week so I'm just hoping it just stressed the plant but I'd obviously rather it not continue down the plant. I gave him a good water today and will see if that helps...
