Tolumnia Genting Orange

i bought this a few months back, a spike just starting. it took a while, but it eventually decided to keep growing and bloomed. the flowers opened a brilliant yellow, but a few days later a nice orange color seeped into the lips. the plant seems well grown, but seems to be a smaller growing plant than my others. fingers crossed it makes it through winter!

That is so cute! But why do you say you hope it survives winter? Does it have a bad root system? If you are worried about it being a weak plant, it's probably best to cut the flowers off so it can save its energy,

i'm going to leave it outdoors this winter. we don't usually get frost here. my other tolumnias i usually keep indoors the first winter to let them establish, but this one i will allow to stay outside. unless we have some freak cold weather.
