Tolumnia Jairak Rainbow X Tolumnia Catherine Wilson

This plant was in the display of one of the vendors at the Manitoba Orchid Society show. I really wanted it when I saw it. This vendor often sells the plants in her display, but I have usually found they are already spoken for whenever I find any I like. To my shock, I discovered on Sunday afternoon, about 2 hours before the end of the show, nobody had asked about it. So I wound up with a new Tolumnia! How could I resist those in-your-face colors?

The first photo shows the whole plant, along with the first place ribbon it won in its category (Tolumnia hybrids with markings). The second shows most of the spike, and the third & fourth show close-ups of a couple of flowers.

I was hoping to get a tolumnia this year but she never made it to the edmonton show (I think we are thinking of the same vendor)
