    Talking New Purchase of Dendro Loddigesii

    Hi.

    I just want to share my newly purchased Dendrobium Loddigesii (Seedling) from my vacation in HK on the First week of September.

    I hope it will adjust easily to the temperature of the Philippines.

    I had to place it on top of a tray of pumice rocks with water. so as to increase the humidity and have a cooler climate for it. I was told that it prefers colder climate.

    any pointers?

    No pointers, but I want one for my collection. It'll have to wait though, I am at my limit or thereabouts.

    hahaha I can just imagine...but hey i'll be the devil... its just a 2" seedling, it will definitely fit somewhere in the greenhouse or in your house!...hehehe

    I worry about what happens when all my orchids are big boys and girls! Trying to save space for that eventuality. Always looking to see how I can expand my capacity at home.

    Congratulations!
    very nice and easy species to grow.
    It thrives in Florida climate without any growing media all year around. It tolerates full sunshine with no problem. Actually, after full sun exposure the flowers get darker.
