I was told by the vendor it's seed raising from the selected clone that he got a couple of years ago.I'm not that sure their parent was from the wild.

That is the real color I never use any photo shop to adjust thanks Amey.
nice dark flowers! you got a good one. i have tried this orchid a few times now, and always get a really weak plant that died off. this species may be getting a bit 'over cloned' or something in some of the named varieties. i wish there was some new breeding going on. this is such a remarkable orchid.
A very beautiful clone!

Wow.very interesting color and form. thanks for sharing Dr.zainal
Beautiful dark form of tenebrosa. Congratulations, Zain.
This is one of my dream cattleyas which I have long wanted to have. I had 2 of this previously as small mericlones but they all died. One was even a variety rainforest which is a beuatifu cone. Strange though because most of the other cattleyas I owned and some other seedlings grew well and I didn't have any problems with them. It's just with this particular species. Perhaps I should get a full grown plant instead but it is very rare, if not, difficult (to none) to find this particular species here.
You have it all Zainal. You have the best of whatever orchid tribe that would thrive in the tropics.
