Thanks Yew-sung. The macro was with the 60mm and the other with my 18-55mm, I still have a lot to learn with this new camera but I am having lots of fun learning. I have also ordered a rail focuser, cable release and some extension tubes to play around with.

You're really getting serious with your close-up and macro photography! I'm sure you'll have lots of fun with the new 'toys'. BTW I use the Kenko auto extension tube set, and I can absolutely recommend it - it's robustly built and retains all the auto functions on our Nikons.

Thanks Zain, I get to take new shots of all the orchids I have already taken pictures of and those that have never bloomed, so yes I am going to be busy with my new gadgets and loving every minute.

Coconut fiber sheets arent easy to come by though i have seen some plants grow really well on just a chunk of coco husk but for me i like my bulbos on tree fern as it lasts long and had plenty of nooks for the fine bulbo roots

Parry, I only have one section 4X4 foot with the coconut fiber, all the rest are on cypress board or plaques with fiber attached. You have some awesome bulbos!
