Don't know that meaningless is a word I would use -- I find it a rather interesting flower, myself.

Haha, i collected more species Bulbophyllums than hybrids and I think species has its unique charm. However, I do like all mastersianum crosses, especially Lion King and Thai spider.

The intention of a hybrid is for the progeny to be an improvement of the parents. The meaningless hybrid illustrated above is not an improvement of either parent.
