such a petite beauty
I got into phal species almost a year ago - have liked them for a long time, but most need conditions a bit warmer than I can provide for my cymbidiums, oncidiums, pleurothallids etc. I solved that by building small enclosures inside my greenhouse and putting extra heat in them . Then started collecting. But phal lindenii is a cool grower, I read, so my two small plants live on the ordinary bench , not in the hothouse bits , with other stuff , coelogynes, etc.
I also read up everything I could find about growing these plants, and when I got a couple of seedlings of one variety, put them in two different composts or pots - some in clay, most in plastic, some in moss, others in bark, etc. In this case, One is in a normal bark, perlite, etc mix , the other in straight sphagnum moss, both in plastic pots. The first of them, that in bark etc, is much bigger now, and has a spike I just discovered . Looks like about 10 flowers, not bad for a first flowering of a seedling. I will post when they open. But nice to see what it will look like (I suppose ).
So lovely and cutie...
