Anybody tried s/h for angraecums? And been successful? If not, what media do you use for them?
Yup, mine are in S/H from day one and doing great. I've got 5 of them.
Dosal, I didn't even realize you grew these. Which ones do you grow? And which ones stay small? Thanks-
I have comorense, eburnum superbum, Lemforde White Beauty, Longiscott "Lea", leonis, and sesquipedale 'Orchidglade II' x Sesquipedale 'March'
So far the sequipedale and the Longiscott have bloomed for me repeatedly.
Leonis will stay small as far as I know.
Hi Dosal!
as a newbie i decided to buy a small (4 in tall x 7 in wide) Lemforde 'White Beauty' too... could you give me some of the main culture tips to get along with it? It's not easy to find it on the net!
thanks.![]()
Hi,
Any tips on A. diderii?
Thanks, sorry for swamping you with questions.
Hi Dosal, could you give me some advise on the leonis? I have one and it has not been doing well. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I have it hang with the vandas which I water every day in summer, is that too much for the leonis? It always gets a brown leave and it falls off but then a new one comes but the plant does not look healthy. I think I will loose it if I do not change something. Can you help with any advice? I would really appreciate it.

I grow my Angm. leonis in bark in a 4 " clay pot. It is outside during the summer under 50 % shade cloth. (about 3500-4000 ft candles of light) I water it about every 4 days during the summer if it hasn't rained. It has bloomed the past two winters. You are probably giving yours too much water and maybe too much light. I grow my vandas in 4-5 thousand ft. candles of light. (40% shade cloth) (In South Louisiana) I love angraecums. Good luck.......

i have one & it needs repottng what do i use to repot & all so what colour flower
