    Smile Unexpected gift of Dendrobium

I have received Dendrobium fargesii and Dendrobium Spring Bird 'Kurashiki' as a gift from a friend. Since I have only been growing Vandaceous, I only have 2 Dendrobium species so far. I hope avid Dendrobium growers here will give me some advice. Thank you in advance.

I dont have neither of these Dendrobium fargesii and Dendrobium Spring Bird 'Kurashiki' but from what I read,Dendrobium fargesii belongs to Epigeneium section seem to be cool growing one (according to IOSPE) and I think mounting could be a better choice. Dendrobium Spring Bird 'Kurashiki' is a nobile hybrid is an intermediate grower and requires a dry and cool weather to imitate spikes.

All the very best to grow and bloom them

Also Dendrobium fargesii is properly Epigeneium fargesii. Type species for the genus Epigeneium.

Might be challenging to grow intermediate grower here. Hopefully, they will grow well.

Between Chris and Sriram you have gotten some good information and I would not have anything to add to the subject. Best of luck with them!
