The all red flowers do grab me, but the ones with the odd white petal rather disturb me. I have tetraspis which does this all the time, and my instinctive reaction when seeing it is "here is a freak, I'll just take that out to the compost heap". I know better, it is just what they do, but I can't get to like the habit.
I'm hoping when I bought the plants few months ago all were in buds and red color but once opened they had mixture color.... so frustrated but have to accept it. I have another clone so called speciosa blue recently bought I wish all the petals would be blue...finger crossed.
Jawdropping.
I have a hybrid of it (speciosa x sumatrana), but i haven't seen it flower yet.

That is very beautiful primary hybrid maybe just a matter of time could be next season.
That's a lovely little Phal that I had't seen before. I didn't even know of it.
