I wold only expect one or maybe two more flowers per spike with this type of plant
I did have some catt hybrids that just threw out flowers without even forming any visible sheaths.

Hmmm...very informative. I have some young catts that keep sheathing but no buds. I was thinking it has something to do with not enough light......? Maybe. And you know, I should have thought of it but I should be watering more often when the plants are spiking even if it is winter and they are inside.
