Is this a Vanda spike?

Hey all,

What i thought was a new root on my Vanda...looks like a spike now.

I've had this Vanda since april, i bought it when it was almost done blooming (very cheap).
It had to cut some of the roots cause they were crispy/ crunchy and broken. Since i've had it it the roots have come along nicely and it grew 2 new leafs.

I didn't really take good care of this poor plant. It suffered through fertilizer burns, normal sunburn and a Swedish summer.
Therefore i find it hard to believe it really has a spike.
I found some sugar drops on what i now think is a spike (no no mealies)
roots don't produce sugar drops do they?
Anyways..here's the pic..plz lemme know what you think:

That certainly looks like a spike to me.

What Vanda is it ?
Intensive neglect seems to work quite well to get spikes.

I don't know what kind of Vanda it is...the label just said Vanda.
It's one of those blue/purple Vandas....not a specie i think.

That's a spike, alright. You should have flowers in a couple of weeks.

It will be blue-ish Tracy....and yeah i'm estatic!! It's my first rebloom and a Vanda rebloom to boot!

That is a spike! Congrats! Blue and purple vandas sure are pretty !
