    Default Lc. Canhamiana

Lc. Canhamiana (C. mossiae x L. purpurata) is an old-timer made by Veitch in 1885. Between 1988-2002, this cross received 15 AOS awards, 13 of which for flower quality. Wildcatt lists 135 crosses with this beautiful hybrid as a parent. In recent years, the blue variety has been very popular.

    Stunning, Ron!

What varieties of each species were used? Clear not run of the mill ones...

I don't know but I would guess L. putpurata var. striata, which would give the striation in the petals and C. mossiae var coerulea, giving the more blueish tone.
