They have similar scents, but the Ootakamaru's scent is much stronger and more permeating than Kohou's scent. This holds true even for the individual flowers and it is not simply because there were a lot more flowers on the Ootakamaru than on the Kohou. The scent is hard to describe but it is good. It tends to change depending on what time of day or night it is, and also as the flowers age: Combinations of vanilla, coconut, pineapple, oriental spice, and perfume, with a "perfumey vanilla" being the primary scent...that, I guess, is the best I know how to describe it. Scent is, of course, quite subjective from one person the next. I suggest you get one of these Ootakamaru plants asap and see for yourself! LOL![]()
