This is a miniature epiphytic mule-ear type. Well, miniature for a mule-ear, merely 'smallish' among oncidiums in general (mule-ears tend towards the large end of the oncidium size-spectrum).
It's a successive bloomer – only one or two open at a time – and actually had a slightly branching inflorescence this time. Very interesting and unusual.
Unfortunately the first pic is out of focus. I'll try to get around to retaking it and reposting. The lip is dark dark glossy maroon-brown, and of heavy substance.
