Hi E1;
I saw a peloric phalaenopsis at the store today. My question is, if a plant is in bloom and is peloric, will it always bloom like that? Does that make a plant worth more?

Peloric phals that are genetically peloric will continue to bloom like that. Sometimes on a first bloom, it is just a "cultural hiccup" or something like that. It doesn't make them "worth" any more...some people hate pelorics..some love them.
I love them!
I agree. But some Pelorics are very nice others are dogs. There have been more and more of these. I believe it is secondary to genetic mistakes compounded by mericloning mericlones.
I agree with both Clint and Ron on this one. I have seen some beauties as well as some messed up blooms on peloric orchids.
Cheers,

I have one that blooms peloric sometimes, normal the other same growing conditions ect . It is not near the microwave and I am out of toxic waste for Fert. lol Gin
Well, the front shelving units are getting full so this one was not too hard to pass up. Thanx for the comments.... Right now I think I'll just concentrate on the den and catt populations out on the porch.

Thanks for the info guys, I didn't know that they could change their minds and go all normal on us the next time. Good to know!
You can see my peloric phal here:

I sold two out of a group of 15 to one person. BOTH of the plants he pruchaced were peloric. I got one back from him.
Here is mine , the following year it was normal . Gin

I think Gin's peloric is cute!! Steven's... it's different, but I'm not sure if I'd buy one.
