Help with cambria

Be gentle with the roots. If they come apart without much work, okay, if not, ok. You want to remove as much of the old media without disturbing the root mass much. Give it a good soak before messing with the roots and they will be less likely to break.

thank you for all of your help, i repoted my orchid, which my son has named pretty, on monday, the roots were really packed together and stayed that way while i rinsed the old bark off so I left them as they were. Did exactly as you told me and the plant is still doing well, the bulbs are still nice and firm with no sign of yellow and the remaining flower is still blooming nicely. I trimmed off the dead roots which were on the surface and the remaining ones are nice and white with green tips as far as i can see. In all, i think my first repoting went well

That is great news! Now, don't over care for it. Orchids are tough.
