Looking good! I can sympathize with the bud loss - I didn't lose any with my Berenice, but I just lost one on an early-spiking Muriel's Pearl - hoping for the best with the second one.

Maura, I must say it might be my own fault. As the first bid was developing, I stuck a stick for the support. It then turned brown. But it did not affect the entire spike. **Whew**

I will take one flower this year.

You never really know if anything you did was the bud-blaster - don't blame yourself, but I agree with your attitude about having one bloom - I'll ALWAYS take that!
