Thanks, yeah, I thought so. The thing's that the windowsills are so full of 'chids that a few small nonorchid plants. Nevertheless, I'll try to find a way to cram some avs in or at least near the windowsills. I'm hungry to see more blooms...It gets dilute 15-30-15 fert., maybe it might be too much?

That's okay regular fert, but if you want to encourage blooms try to find a zero nitrogen. I also fertilize only about once every 2 months. And make sure they aren't too wet, that keeps them from blooming too. Mine grow on the kitchen counter, just out of range of the direct sun that comes through the kitchen window. So very bright light.

This one is putting up buds, should be open in a couple weeks. Most of my AVs bloom almost constantly - like Matt said 6 times a year. Sometimes I nip off the flowers and buds to give the plants a rest. As soon as this one blooms out I will post a picture, the flowers are such a striking maroon color.
