Oh no! So maybe I need to get some ladybugs and let them loose in my house! Well at least the cat will be amused...just kidding...I think.

I wish that would work, but we are fighting the lady bugs too. They are starting to wake up from their winter nap and we keep finding them in the house. I would gladly let them eat their fill before I squished them.

If aphids go unnoticed they will feed on new young growths which you cannot really tell the damage they have done until the growths mature, then you will notice the leaves will distort and have yellow spots.
Give your plants a good dose with a bug killer!

I use plain dishwashing liquid soap 1 tsp and cooking oil 1 tsp mix them together till they form a white milk like liquid and add it to 2 litres of water, shake it and spray all my plants. Repeat this after another week and all aphids will be gone. The soap helps stick the soap to the exoskeleton of the bugs blocking their respiration pores and killing them immediately.

Safer soap is good - but lady bugs are better! I had a problem with my large flowering quince for a couple of years. I used all kinds of sprays but once the lady bugs arrived I quit spraying and have had no more trouble.
