This species is native to Java, Sumatra, Thailand and Vietnam. It is found at about 1500m above sea level.

The pseudobulbs are 2 cm tall and the two leaves about 10cm long. The plant is normally deciduous or semi deciduous when flowering.

The raceme is 4-5cm long and carries 20-30 flowers, each 2-3mm wide. The mobile appendages are 5-6mm long. Intermediate conditions.
