    Default Maxillaria minuta

This is a mini Maxillaria from SE Brazil. The p-bulbs are about 1/2" and the single apical leaf is about 3/4 of an inch. The flowers are about 5mm. I have it mounted on a cork slab. I will call it a reliable late winter bloomer for I checked and noted I had posted pics of it last year on March 8th. I detected a light fragrance.

This is a really cool Maxillaria as well. The flowers look like little bird mouths that are sticking out of a nest ready to be fed!

He's so cute! I really like the mixture of orange and crimson in the flowers.
