How do I promote new plant growth other thant the norm?

Yeah, I have a couple multis that flowered and are doing nothing about making a new plant.
One I purchased is a 18yr old plant that just lost it's bloom after two months. Nice single plant that shows no new growths and I want to start having this thing sprout new little ones.
Same for a few other multis and a few mauds.

I water, fertilize, pretty much whipe their butts with nothing for thanks I tell ya from them.

Clean medium, wright size pots, shaded-breezy areas again, enough water/ferts, I used rain water when I can. Patio living not a green house but real nice after all.
Other than this I don't know what they want.

I do, some of mine just are mean spirited little things that don't like to put out. lol Sounds like yours are mean little things too. I wave mine over the trash can and threaten to chop them up....sometimes they bloom after threats. Most of the time they sit there smug knowing I wouldn't really chop them up.....yet...

Multis like bright light, I give mine the same amount as my Catts.

I have a philipinense that is sort of doing the same thing. It is a three growth plant: one mature and two maturing. That is what it had a year ago when I got it. Narry a sign of anything going on in the nether regions.....

yet.

Katt, if nothing is happening, try upsetting them a bit. Why not repot and move them around. That usually will cause a reaction. Since the plants are old enough to bloom, try that and making sure they get enough light.

I agree multifloral Paphs like high light levels and need it to bloom. Slowly start increasing your light. If you move it into high light too quickly, the leaves will burn.

BD Oh, I have done just that. I've replanted them, water, give them light-best seats in the house you name it. Even left them alone, everything.
The 18year old plant is the worst of all. It's finished with it's first bloom and is showing ZERO new growth.
Maybe it thinks it can go another 18years WRONG!!!
I'm in Florida so I have to be careful about where they go because they die pronto if they don't like a single element here.
Hmmm, we have all kinds of elements here...
