Has anyone had experience using dragons blood? What is it used for and how is it used?
I bought some that did not come with any instructions for orchids or other plants.

Is this some type of fertilizer? I have heard of Blood Meal, but not specifically Dragons Blood.

OK Joan I'll bite, what's Dragons Blood?
Yeah, I feel like I'm being pulled into a trick of somekind . . .
Not to mention that Pavel may have something to say about using dragon blood for anything.![]()
it is the resins of a plant. I think from Daemomorops Draco (ok I had to google the name...). It is also a herbal remedy and colourant
I've heard of it helping save rotting plants by slipper orchid growers. I have not tried it myself yet, but I wish I had it to use on my phrag popowii that rotted last summer. Based on what I have seen online, the liquid is dripped into the crown of the rotting plant to stop the rot and a new leaf may come out.
Phew....you wouldn't want peanut on your bad side, he is one of our mascots around here! He might hiss at you!

My bottle of Dragons Blood says it's 100% pure natural sangre de Grado resin. I've read some orchid growers have used it to cure some orchid ills . I was hoping someone on this forum had experience with it and could tell me how to use it.![]()
