Thanks
Connie
Lc. Mrs. W. N. Elkins x C. Leda
(C. Leda is dowiana x percivaliana. Mrs. W. N. Elkins is C. bowringiana x L. purpurata.)
So, it's (C. bowringiana x L. purpurata) x (C. dowiana x C. percivaliana)
Okay...from the look of the cross I have, it's a Nodosa crossed with the Lc. Molly Tyler and I could have sworn from the throat it had Tenebrosa in it. It's just an amazing flower....when it finishes opening I'll have to post a pic of it.
Thanks...I'll have to write this down.
Okay, here are a couple of it opened. I did my best to show the throat. No matter what angle I shoot it at the color isn't right. The petals are a purple with pink to them and the labellum is this royal violet that is just not photographable no matter what I do.....sheesh! What is everyones' trick to getting the color to come out?
So far no scent, but maybe tonight....

Clint you must have a orchid database--I don't know if I can post the name or not--and you are mighty quick on the draw . . .![]()
Can't wait to see a picture Connie.
Either that or he went to the RHS website that lets you search for the parentage based on the given grex
That is a beautiful flower Connie, I like how vibrant the lip colors are.
You got it. I am pedigree-obsessed. Here is the link if you would like to do it yourself:
