Can't figure this out help please..

Ok, Two catts out of about 10.

They were fine when purchased. Nice firm smoot leaves.
3-4 months later the leaves on one look as if they are really old which they're not. I mean they look as if they are drying like getting really wrinkley. I've looked at the root system and it looks ok, it's been repotted (never had a old medium problem) but it looks as if the soft material of the leave inside itself is dryin/going away.
Now I water, that's never been a problem.
The other two are getting real leathery looking. Kinda tough looking. Same thing good roots.
There is something going on with these three plants. They should not look like this.
I'm sorry I have no way of posting a pictue. Wish I did.
What do you think?
I do use the best ferts. They are in a patio with morning sun in Florida. It's not to hot out side yet. They drain 100%

How often do you water Katt? I think I have something similar happen because I wasn't watering enough. Are the leaves shrinking and folding back together again?

I agree. Outside in Florida catts can dry really quickly even though you guys have high humidity for the most part.

Are the roots firm and not papery?

I guess they are shrinking a bit and folding/curling back up vertically not downward.
I water these things every 5 days or so. Fert. everytwo times then off two times.
If you look at the leaves inside the leaf itself looks as if parts ar going flat. Kind of like rippling.
Wish I could find a link to where there is a page of different things that happen to these so I could see.
Leaves are getting hard no just firm but yet the plants I speak of hard/rubbery not mushy.

I have some like that and mine are due to them recovering from root loss. But also, as the p-bulb ages often the leaves look like heck and then turn yellow and drop. The p-bulb then starts getting withered as well. They are backbulbs and this is normal if it's on the back end of the plant. Otherwise, good luck, hope you figure this out. A picture may help, often someone has seen this and gone through it. A picture is always better than a description...the older growers will know what your problem is from seeing it for definite.

During the summer I have auto watering with a little fert in every day till the weather starts to cool which is now in nz.I found I was not watering enough in the hot weather.Most of mine are looking better now.

These plants are in their second year so they are not old. I have another plant just like thes one's I spoke of over at my friends house. I looked at it today and it looks exactly the same as the others. Leaves lokinf like celloulos (sp?) loose or something. Wish I could post a pic.
