    Default Maxillaria rufescens

    Opened today

First Max to flower for me (I also have two different tenuifolia - a red one and a yellow one and also recently got a schunkeana). The first two buds blasted so I moved it into a different location which it seems to like more. There are even more buds on the way.

    Smells wonderfully of vanilla cookies

Beautiful bloom, such a rich golden yellow color ... and the "vanilla cookies" smell must be lovely!

Thank you guys! I's definitely a must have. Cuteflowers, GREAT scent and seems a very easy grower/bloomer.

This is my favorite Maxi. I've only seen pictures though, so I didn't realize that it had a scent like that. Now I really have to have one.
