I recently repotted my Aliceara. It did well for a while. It even shot out a new spike. The flowers lasted about 2-1/2 weeks. Now, I noticed the pseutobulbs becoming more wrinkled and flattening out. They seem rubbery as well. Any suggestions???

Hi ,
It could be a root problem ,lack of , new growth or blooming will feed from the older bulbs .The flip side is not enough water . Can you tell us about your growing conditions , watering ect .? Gin
Yes, I would guess root issues. Unpot and take a look.

Well, I water once a week and use a very diluted fertilizer 20-20-20. My orchids are on a humidity tray in a giant picture window with great indirect sunlight for most of the day.
I did unpot and found the medium around the roots retaining quite a bit of moisture! I cleaned the plant and pot and repotted with a more coarse medium for drainage and air flow. Hopefully this works!
Well, to my surprise, I think my Aliceara will be just fine! I was getting nervous for a while but yesterday when I was watering I notice two new growths! I had read that these plant do not like to be repotted! I am using a much coarser medium that what was originally in the pot so I changed up the watering cycle on this plant.
Great, good news!
new growth with mean new roots...it should do well for you
That is great, Patrick!
