    Default Neostylis 'Lou Sneary' Bluebird

    This was my door prize today at my orchid society meeting. After I got it home, I was so glad that I picked this one off of the table. It has great roots and I really like the blooms. It is currently in a two inch pot.

    I asked that about the other monster that's in bloom (the pink guy who's white this time) and was curious if it was...

    You make me smile. A door prize is a gift you get for simply 'showing up' and being selected (usually at random) to win.

    This year my orchid society decided to buy every member an orchid plant in bud or bloom. We ordered a mix box from Hawaii and as we entered the space our programs volunteer (Sarah..aka Sadie here on the forum) handed us each a ticket. Then, after a holiday dinner, she drew out everyone's number - one at a time. When ones number matches the number she drew out, then you can pick from the remaining orchids on the table. It was lots of fun. Sarah teased me quite a bit because I took so long to make my choice. (I had to examine each orchid that looked interesting ... hehehe..) She walked away with a really dark paph.
