The greenhouse I was at the other day has their watering system turned off because it's time to bud out his huge cattleya collection! In the meantime the vanda's and some of the others looked awful from no water. I guess they like to go dry once in awhile. And I find that when I dump about 2/3's of the potting materials off my catts, just leaving a small bit at the middle and bottom, they grow way better. As the roots fill in I add a little more stuff....
And I love that pink by the way...you are lucky that is a very pretty one!
