Pretty 'critters' you have there, Jason. Does Talula speak?

The Parrot (?), is cool. Where they work on my elec. wheelchair, there is a large Macaw that I sit and amuse while I visit. The snake on the other hand....eek!

Are talula and butch friends?
BD...if by "speak", you mean harasses the hell out of anyone within earshot, then yes. however, there are no discernible words that come out of that little beak. she's a green-cheek conure. they arent the best at speaking...she does imitate a bit, i think, but their voices are so gravelly, that its not obvious.
and tmai, if butch were allowed anywhere near talula...well talula would no longer be. the rats that butch eats are roughly the same size. i'm also cautious with my hands if butch hasnt eaten...the rats are large.
And that is the reason I do not want a pet snake. (Actually two reasons - the size of the rats you need to feed him AND the fact he could eat my hand. LOL!
He is beautiful and lucky to have you care for him.
I asked because I have a blue and gold Macaw that 'speaks' --alot. LOL. I don't know much about the other birds that speak, but my macaw thinks he is a radio talk-show sometimes... And he is also the best 'watch dog' we have. Anyone or anything comes near the house, he sees them way before we could ever hear them. He always announces visitors. His cage is in front of our big window on the front of the house and he loves to watch outside goings-on. He is a lot of fun.BD...if by "speak", you mean harasses the hell out of anyone within earshot, then yes. however, there are no discernible words that come out of that little beak. she's a green-cheek conure. they arent the best at speaking...she does imitate a bit, i think, but their voices are so gravelly, that its not obvious.

Is Butch a ball python or a burmese? Will he eat frozen rats or do you have to feed live?
Here's one of our guys, Dick. He's a northern pine snake.
Talula...I love that name
