Greetings from Gervais, Oregon and Solexx question

Hi, Everyone.

I am planning a new greenhouse to replace the second-hand one I have grown in since 1972.* The current one is a wood structure with a glass top, deteriorating badly, and in the way of an addition to the house.

The new one will be located on the south side of a shop building.* I have been looking at coverings and would like to talk to someone who has experience (or knows someone who has experience) growing orchids in a structure covered with Solexx.

HI Bonnie! Great to have you join our community. I moved your introduction to the "Ask the Senior Member's" section of our forum so that more people will see your question. We have growers here growing in many different types of buildings and setups. I hope you will share photos of your process and your project develops. Hopefully someone will be able to help your Solexx question.

Unfortunately I do not have a greenhouse, but I'm sure someone here will know about this material!! You should ask Hillbilly bob or bikerdoc, I know they both have greenhouses...as well as Gin, maybe Diane? I don't remember if Diane has one. Anyways, good luck!! A greenhouse project is always a good one

Bonnie, I have done some reading on greenhouse construction. What questions do you have. I can try to be helpful. I grow in a greenhouse that has polycarbonate twin wall construction...not sure of the brand name.
