that is very nice! How large is your Catt collection? What Catt are you using as your avatar? It is very unusual!
Thanks for your query. I have about eight hundred cattleyas and about fifty Australian Dendrobiums ( mostly all D. bigibbum in natural and compact forms ). Oh, and I have a couple of Oncidiums as well.
The plant featured on the avatar is ( C. Bhimayithon x C Red Empress ) ' Burdekin '. Regards, Cattmad.
Oh my...800 Catts! I will be drooling for quite some timeThe joys of being able to grow outdoors 24/7.
Is Burdekin a nursery? I know it is a river
I suspect ( C. Bhimayithon x C Red Empress ) ' Burdekin ' can not be found here.
Beautiful!! Wow 800!! Dang!! Would love to see some pics of where you keep all these babies!!

You are quite right Burdekin is a river in north Queensland. There is a gentlemen who lives in a town called Ayr on the river , he was a hybridist ( now retired ) who bred some outstanding exhibition cattleyas, many have been awarded and been champions at shows. A lot of his plants bear the name Burdekin in some form. I buy plants on parentage and knowing his stock I purchased when they were available a few years ago. You can see from some I have illustrated I have been well rewarded. I would doubt any would be available in your country. Cattmad.
