Carrie,
She's beautiful, and I know you're excited and very happy. You've nursed her, and hovered over her, and now you get to reap the rewards. I hope you're grinning from ear to ear this morning!!

Thank you everyone, I ahd two buds blast at the bottom of the stem but so far the others are doing good I think the bud blast was my own fault though, she has opened up now so I will take another photo and post it soon as I can.
Here she is open lets hope the rest of the buds develop well and open up also without blasting I am being very careful with her
Carrie, she was sooooooooooo worth the wait. What a sweet, delicate looking beauty she is!!

Thank you Anne and Bruce I am sure you will all get sick of the sight of this little one as I update as the other buds ( hopefully) open. I dont know how long the flowers will last but hopefully they will last a little while but we do have another spike coming up so that will mean more flowers at a later date, this spike sure took an age to develop LOL I could have sworn I detected a faint scent this morning from her but looking in google it says that this species does not have a fragrance, maybe I imagined it but my husband smelt it also a sort of very faint florally smell.
