how many spikes possible?

I have a Miltassia CM Fitch 'Izumi' that has grown into an impressive plant (20+ pseudobulbs) but has yet to bloom for me. I have made a few changes to to water, temperature and lighting in recent months and have my fingers crossed that it will spike in the next few months.

Here is my question... How many of the PBs can potentially throw spikes? Is it only the ones that have recently matured, or can any bulb that hasn't previously bloomed produce a spike?

In my experience, once a PB has put out a new growth which itself has matured, that first PB won't bloom.

However, that's just what happens here, and orchids this past year seem to have been going a little haywire. If someone has had a different experience, please post!

With that many growths though, you should be getting quite a few new ones from each of the old, and if only those bloom, it should still make one helluva display. Putting the plant in strong light should spark up a ton of spikes for you.

A lot of epidendrums will rebloom off of old canes, so you never cut them (even when leafless and ugly), but I've never heard of anything in the Odm alliance reblooming from a PB.
