Dendrobium gift 1994

This dendrobium was my mother's gift in 1994's. I did not know anything about orchids and I think it was too bad for it, once his not in bloom a lot of time (maybe 6 or more years).
Well, since 1 year i've been fertilizing, watering and taking care in a better way. I also re-potted it.
Maybe someone could tell me if this stufffs that appear in the p-bulb could be a floral spik or a keiki?
I know keikis come from this part of the plant, but......I'm eager to see it in re-bloom.

They are the starts of flowers BUT>>>> hold off on the water etc untill they actually start to show buds or they will turn into keiki's. Don't let it dry for too long, water once a week at most.

Hi Roy...I'm so happy with your reply. I've heard or read somewhere about holding off on the watter in dendrobium to get them flower, but i'm not sure (ever!) how much and I keep myself in doubt. Sometimes watering and sometimes afraid of not watering....you know how beginers are ....many doubts.
Your reply let me know that maybe I'm in the right way with it. Thanks a lot.
One more ask. This p-bulb has some brown spots. Can you see in pic? Should I put on some fungicide? wich one you reccomend, if this is the case.

Should I hold off even on the bloom's fertilizier. I've been using Peters (brand) with more phosphorus than the others elements. This is food for leaf (misting).

Food for leaf+ foliar feed. Once a week should be okay. The fertilizer needs to be diluted more than the instructions on the package say. Use it about 1/4th of the strength. Higher phosphorus helps roots and blossoms grow.

Could this be a nobile type dendrobium? If so it needs a cooling off period to initiate blooms after the growth phase.

I don't think this a nobile one. As much as I remember it looks more like a purple cat with big flowers. Hope we can see it soon. An anyway we've getting here in Brasil a very cold winter, so I think its enaugh to initiate blooms.

Me too, margarita,
I think my mother (who has died many years ago) also must be happy now somewhere.
Her plant was lost, after she died, and mine ( wich is a cut of hers) is only wich remained .... my expectation is great, no matter what is the flower. Its value is affective for me
