    Default Dendrochilum wenzelii

    Just for Tim(Bench72)!
For years, I could not bloom this species and I almost gave up on it. In 2008, it fianally sent up just a dozen of spikes for the first time. This year(spring 2009), it had 120+ spikes.
This species will test your patience. Keep it moist year round and bright light(2500FC). Don't over pot this species. Sometimes, it doesn't bloom for you because you over-pot it. My plant is in CHC mix and it has been in that 6" basket for at least 5-6 years, so that means I way over-potted this plant 5-6 years ago.

Tom- That's pretty incredible, it is a really nice plant and look at all those blooms! This is actually the longest running plant on my wish list...bid on them several times but they must be popular, they get close to 50 before I give up 'em. So congrats!

Okay....now that I've seen these pictures on my computer, I have to say that this dendro is amazing! What a full, rich plant.
