Three plants from the show. Because they were in the show, hopefully Boss man will won't shift them.
My Paph Bilambil 'Thelma' & Phrag. Grande 'Atratum' and #3 another Phrag. Grande 'Chinaman' I think. It had 5 spikes on the plant but only this open.

Was a good show, has been better but seasons and extra shows don't help.
The Paph won 1st as did the Phrag Grande 'Atratum'. The Champion Paph and Champion Species went to a Paph hirsutissimum with one flower and probably the poorest example of the orchid I've seen in 20 shows...
It does look like a nice show.. as far as displays.. love the 3rd pictures on the 1st 2 posts. And that Paph Bilambil is fantastic... why didn't that win Champion Paph? then again... u know that fads and politics can sometimes influence the decisions... so congrats for what you did win and til next year! btw, does Paph Bilambil already have an award? looks awardable.
Edit: Just checked Orchidwiz, and you already got an award for 'Thelma' in... holey moley 1988! An award upgrade? (oh and some of our members weren't even born then heheheh)
Tim, the Champion Paph went to a second rate P.hirsutissimum, I've seen better in the last 20 shows. The thing is that many Judges today don't know anything about complex Paphs. If its not a species, Parvi x or similar they don't look at them. The flower was a little small but I thought it reasonable. It was my Uncle who got the award but I have ALL the 11 plants of it now as he has retired and only has a few cyms now.

Are you trying to make me feel Old ???
