    Default euphlebium orbilobulatum, philippines

    hi folks,

    i couldnt be more thrilled...

this genus was established in 1981, taken out from the dendrobium, mainly because of this incredible flexible labellum, a slight touch and it its flapping.
also pbulb and leaves are different from dendro's.
so far only 8 species had been found, 6 in the philippines, and i have to say this were the most wonderful coloring i've seen on the labellums.

this little beauty stays fully open for a few hours and therefore putts everything in it, from orange, green, purple, creamish brown with stripes and tip is lavender, which gets darker while wilting, amazing huh?

    proudly present,
