    Default Finally... an orchid Bloom spike!

    Hey guys,

    It's been a while since I was last on. I'm here in Melbourne, Fl and I've had to bring in my orchids from the crazy freezing temps. In the last two weeks I've had a new spike develop on one of them. Here it is.


    Can anyone tell me what type of orchid this is? I don't ever remembering having the original tag for this and I'm at a loss. I think it said dancing lady on it. Any help will be very helpful. Thanks!

    Looks like a Tolumnia, probably a hybrid. Lucky you-they are very colorful and beautiful .

    Tolumnia...I agree. They bloom after a drop in temps...they can go down to the 40's no problem. I had a couple, they were great bloomers....until a bug ate them.

    How exciting! When I get an orchid spike I start to dance. I also patio/terrace garden. So rewarding for me with my little urban jungle.
