Can anyone offer advice on watering (Dens & Phals) after a winter break? The winter here has been cold, snowy with short day lengths & poor quality light. I have, thus, reduced the watering quantities & frequency of most of my plants, even my Phals. However, quite a few of my Dens (+Phals), perhaps because of this extreme cold have begun to bud-up. These include the inevitable Nobile, Latouria, black-haired Formosae & Den. gracilicaule (Dendrocoryne). I am aware that too much water,as say with kingianum, is likely to lead to keikis and I have now learnt that too little water can lead to aborting flowers. So at what stage with emerging bud growth do I commence watering? and how much water do I give?
Yours
Minda
